Question:
Me and my girlfriend had unprotected sex (I did not ejaculate during or after sex, although I had pre cum). I got worried and then found out we did this a day before she was due to start ovulating. I'm panicing now and basically need to know what are the chances of her getting pregnant from this pre cum. (I was only in her for a couple of minutes, and although I was wet, it wasnt very wet). Thanks

Thanks for your question. It is really hard to predict whether or not there is likely to be a pregnancy. So many things dictate if there was any sperm in the semen that was the pre-cum. Often in pre-cum there isn't any semen since the male's body produces this liquid to lubricate the urethra of the male to keep urine acids away from the sperm. Since you had not ejaculated earlier, the likelihood of there being any sperm is not high. If you are very worried, you might suggest that she get emergency contraception, just in case, but I don't know if it is available where you live. If taken within 72 hours of the intercourse, it is effective in preventing the pregnancy.

Since this was a pretty scary event for you, I hope that next time you will use a latex condom so that you won't be worrying like this and losing the enjoyment in the sexual togetherness.
