Question:
How safe or risky is anal sex 2 weeks after a total hysterectomy?

Answer:

Hello and thank you for your question. If your doctor has recommended that you abstain from vaginal intercourse for a specified period then you should also abstain from anal sex during that time as well. I would also recommend that you listen to your body for helping you to decide when it is ready for you to begin sexual activity again. Any kind of major surgery like a hysterectomy can be traumatizing to your body and really take a lot out of you, so give yourself some time to rest and recover so that you will get the most out of your sexuality. Wishing you the best, M. Scott Gross
