Well, first of all, withough a medical examination, there is no way to know for sure exactly what the problem may be. The following are some general things that could cause vaginal irritation; shaving the pubic area, vaginal deoderant sprays or soaps with perfume, tampons that have applicators which could irritate the skin, douching, lots of physical activity such as running (too much sweat and not enough air can irritate the genital area), wearing tight clothing, etc. A clear watery discharge would seem normal, the discharge can become thicker when a woman is ovulating and this is normal also. Without a physical examiniation, it would be difficult for anyone to diagnose the exact problem, but consider some of the things that could cause irritation to see if any of them apply to your situation. Some women have very sensitive skin, and the membranes in the vaginal area are often more sensitive than our thicker skin is and can become irritated easier. If you changed soaps, or are using a vaginal deoderant, this could casuse irritation and pain as well. If none of these apply to you, I would suggest a visit to a gynecologist to obtain a more comprehensive exam. Good luck and write back if you have mroe questions.
