Question:
A friend was told there was a possibility she might be diagnosed with HPV (too early at this point). Assuming the worst here, what are the chances she can continue to lead a normal sex life?

Please read the information about human papilloma virus infection (HPV) on the website for the National HPV and Cervical Cancer Prevention Resource Center at http://www.ashastd.org/hpvccrc/index.html (see link on the right hand side). They have more information than I can even begin to address here. Please ask if you have any further questions after reviewing their information. Sincerely, Annette Owens, MD PhD
