Question:
Hello,
My question is about my ejaculate, on a few occasions when I get some on my girlfriends thighs or it runs out of her after we have intercourse wherever it touches her skin it creates a red rash like poison ivy in the pattern that it gets on her so we are both now convinced that it is my ejaculate. It doesn’t happen right away but overnight. It however does go away after a couple of days but it’s a big problem for us. So is it something I ate? Medications? Is she simply allergic to my ejaculate? Has this ever happened to anyone else? We can’t seem to find any answers. We are both 24 years old, healthy, STD free students and we have been together for about 4 years. The only allergy she knows she has is to sulfites does my ejaculate contain them? Could it be the mixture of my ejaculate and her vaginal fluids cuasing the allergic reaction?
Thanks so much for your time

There are cases where women have been allergic to their partner's semen. If you're not using protection, then wearing a condom would be one way to prevent her reaction if she is indeed having an allergic reaction. To determine if your semen is the cause, or whether or not she's having a reaction to spermicide, latex or any products you may be using, it would be best to consult a health care practitioner.
