Question:
I have HSV-1, and HSV-2. I am beginning some friendships/relationships with others who also have HSV. But I was wondering if there is any type of protection device(s) for giving oral sex to women. Obviously condoms protect in the reverse scenario.

In performing oral sex on a woman, you have two good options in practicing safer sex. A dental dam can be placed over her vaginal opening, acting as a barrier between your mouth and her vagina. Also, non-microwavable Saran Wrap can provide the same barrier protection. Thank you for visiting the Sexual Health Network.
