Question:
I have been having unprotected sex with an ex-girlfriend. Since then I have developed 4 red marks on the end of my penis which dry up and go scabby after a while. They have been there for a month now and show no sign of breaking out of the spot-scab-spot cycle. Recently one also appeared on my scrotum.
As well as this, I have experienced severe itching- a sort of intense prickly rash. This began on my penis (it felt sort of 'inside') but since has spread to cover various areas of my whole body- small, hardly visible dots on my hands, arms, buttocks etc. She had contact with another man who apparently had the same itchiness. Any idea what I might have? Are the two things (the blistering and the rash) related? Please help!

Only a physician can best determine your condition. It sounds like you may have one of the following: bacterial vaginosis, candidiasis, trichomoniasis, or herpes. For all of those infections, except for herpes, an antibiotic will clear up symptoms. If you have herpes, a viral infection, there is medication to alleviate symptoms when they do appear.
If you plan to continue sleeping with your ex, be sure to use a condom. If you have a bacterial infection, she can reinfect you, even if you've been treated. You can also avoid reinfection by encouraging her and her other partner to seek treatment.
