Question:
I am 15 years old, and me and my boyfriend started having sex about a month ago. We've only had sex maybe 3 times, but, everytime we do, it hurts like crazy, I'm sore for a couple of days afterwards, and I feel absolutely no pleasure. It just feels like something pounding into me, and it hurts.

Thank you for your submission. Sometimes, if the vagina isn’t lubricated enough, sex can be painful. I suggest using a water-based lubricant (some contain spermicide as well), like KY Jelly, to make sexual intercourse more comfortable. The lubricant, used with a lubricated condom, may help to ease some of the pain. But this is not something for you to take care of alone. You should talk to your partner and make sure that when you do engage in sexual intercourse, that you do it at your pace. Tell your boyfriend when you are uncomfortable and perhaps you both can find a way to enjoy sexual intercourse. HOWEVER, you should only be having sex if you are emotionally and physically ready. If you are not feeling like this is something that you want to do right now, sex will never feel enjoyable. If you and your boyfriend can talk about how you are feeling and you try to use a water-based lubricant, hopefully intercourse will become more pleasurable.
