Question:
I am embaressed but I need to know what is happening with me! About two days ago I had sex with my b/f and it was real quick and it was stupid but we didn't use protection. Well I noticed that my inner walls of my vagina was starting to hurt and it felt kind of swollen. So I used a mirror so I could see inside and it was red on the inner walls of my lips. So when I took a shower I cleaned myself with a cleand washcloth and some soap. Then I had to urinate and when I did it burned bad and I have some dischare thats cleary white ( but I've had the discharge for as long as I can remember. I thought that maybe it was normal because I heard that so girls have regular discharge). Then after I felt the pain I dont even know why I did this but I put vaseline there and it helps the pain. I'm scared because I don't know whats wrong with me and I'm afraid to tell my mom! So if you could PLEASE HELP! I will appericiate it so much!!

From what you describe, it is most likely that you have a yeast infection, or some other type of abnormal vaginal bacteria overgrowth. It would be best to get checked out by a physician not only for such an infection, but for other possible sexually transmitted infections (STIs) as well. Whether you get diagnosed with an STI or with a yeast infection, make sure that your partner is tested and treated as well, so that he doesn't reinfect you.
