Question:
i've knowticed in my vaginal area that i have small black spots. they aren't raised off the skin but they are just dark spots on the lips of my vigina a very small one on the outside and then a little bit larger one on the inside. i've read about stds and it seems to me that i don't qualify but i need an experts opinion because i'm afraid to discuss it with anyone else but if needed i'll get treatment if it's serious. i'm still a virgin but i've had oral sex once (it was givin to me). im pretty sure that my boyfriend is clean he hasn't shown signs of anything. im afraid its serious and i need advice. thanks.

Thank you for submitting your question. I would love to help you, but I am not a medical doctor. Even though you have never had sexual intercourse, there are some sexually transmitted infections that are contracted from oral sex. Before you get nervous though, I encourage you to see your gynecologist and have these spots looked at. Most importantly, please remember that just because a person “looks clean”, DOES NOT mean that he/she is "clean" from some infection or virus. As soon as a person becomes sexually active, it is important that he/she takes care of him/herself and is tested for STDs. I hope this information helps.
