A healthy musculature of the pelvic floor increases the blood supply to the vaginal canal and assists with natural lubrication. A special fluid is released from the walls (vaginal epithelium) of the vagina. This tissue "sweats" beads of fluid (modified plasma transudate) are excreted from this tissue, and can contain viruses, including HIV/AIDS. This "sweating" of the vagina is ASSUMED to be a reliable sign that a woman is sexually aroused or ready for vaginal play or intercourse, though it can be, this is not always the case. Women sometimes lubricate vaginally when they are not sexually aroused. Excess lubrication, even though some women feel embarrassed by it, can easily be solved by use of an absorbent sanitary pad or panty liner. Dryness, however is a more common problem. Best wishes, Melissa BEE Editors note: She may also be experiencing female ejaculation. Upon orgasm, some women experience a release of fluid. This is not urine. Read Beverly Whipple's book - "The G Spot" to learn more. And, enjoy the pleasurable sexual relationship the two of you are having. Thanks, Patricia Fawver, Ph.D.
