The good thing is that there are clit creams on the market -- it shows that the public at large is finally interested in female sexuality. The challenge is that there isn't much consistence between which creams work best. One formulation might work well for one woman, while it may not for someone else. Also, keep in mind that other than testosterone creams (which are available only by prescription) the rest of the creams out there are for "novelty" purposes only. Their only real active ingredient is menthol, which is what causes that warm, tingling sensation.
The purpose of the creams is not actually to increase desire (although some will say that they do), it's more likely that you just might like the new tingly sensation it creates and indirectly cause you to psychologically get more turned on and therefore increasing blood flow to the vaginal area.
Either way, experimentation is always good and if that creates more desire by itself then that's worth it.
Check out Climatique -- it was voted the favorite clit cream of the Libida.com staff.
