Question:
I have noticed that when I masturbate the nerves at the head of my penis are very sensitive. I have a slight (not painful) achy feeling by my left testicle as well. When I ejaculate it trickles. It used to shoot out. Although I can maintain an erection (takes awhile to erect thought) I have had bigger and more fuller ones in the past. I also notice I am congested (feel pressure) directly above my genital area. My main concern is what is this pressure and why is my penis so sensitive? If this is a blood flow problem what exactly could cause this

Answer: by Hussein Ghanem: (06/02/2004)
Your concerns are:
1) Sensitivity at the head during ejaculation
2) Testicular discomfort
3) Lower abdominal discomfort
4) Decreased force of ejaculation
5) Difficulty to obtain erections
6) Decreased size and rigidity of erections
Your first three complaints need to be evaluated by an Andrologist / Urologist to exclude genitourinary infections or other medical disorders. Sensitivity at the head of the penis during ejaculation may be normally associated with sexual stimulation.
The force of the ejaculate is related to the degree of sexual excitement, patient’s age and male hormone levels. Your erectile problems seem to be mild in nature but need to be evaluated by a physician or sex therapist. Such problems might be psychologic or physical in nature.
Please check my recent article on this subject - Modern Trends In The Management of Erectile Dysfunction - on sexualhealth.com (recent articles)
Your complaints might be associated with anxiety disorders so psychological assessment might also be helpful.
