Well, everyone masturbates a different way, so there really isn't any right or wrong to it as long as you follow your bodies cue's. Does it feel good? If your friend tells you a certain stroke is the best but you try it out and you prefer a diddle instead? Forget your friend and figure out what works best for you! As long as it's done in a private manner and you aren't causing damage to yourself (skin is being rubbed raw) play the way that feels best for you!
As for the headaches, I wonder why someone is masturbating (which feels delightful for most people) in a position that doesn't rock their world? If they are in an uncomfy situation, that can definetly cause stress which could contribute to a headache. My advice? Masturbate in a position that feels good to you so you can avoid those pesky headaches!
Lastly, heart rate and heavy breathing. When someone reaches orgasm, the rate the heart beats has to increase, it's a biological response. Now, breathing and heartrate increase while one is in the excitement part of arousal (there are different parts to how the body responds to sexual stimulation. Read on for a brief description of each stage.
Excitement (Yay! I'm being touched!),
Plateau (OMG this feels sooooo good!),
Orgasm (I'm coming, I'm coming!),
Resolution (aka I'm soo sleepy)
So, heart rate increases and peaks to a high while the orgasm is happening. Not something a person has control over. But, you may be experiencing the increase in heart rate and not even know it cause your body is soooo excited that it's getting off that why would you care if your heart rate peaked or not? You have better things to focus on right now, right?!
So, yes heart rate must increase. Breathing usually increases too. My advice, pay less attention to the "am I having an orgasm?" and more to the "this feels amazing!". It's a better way to spend your Sunday morning.
Happy Playing!
