Prolonged habit of smoking can cause erectile difficulties in the long run but does not lead to loss of penile sensation. On the other hand diabetes if gone undetected or uncontrolled for a long time can lead to reduced sensation in the glans penis.
Please consult an andrologist or urologist in your locality, who will order necessary tests to determine whether the sensory loss experienced is the result of any underlying neurological causes.
