Question:
I am an 18 year old male and have not yet had sex. I have tried to have sex with 2 ex-girlfriends but was not successful. The 1st girlfriend I had we tried to have sexual intercourse and she was experienced, we got started as you usual do making out and getting all hot and heavy. The problem I had was that I could not get a hard enough erection I was only partial aroused but was VERY! eager to have sex as any other gye would. We tried for hours and hours to get my penis erect she gave me oral sex and that did not do it either. I finally did get a little bit harder after about an 2 hours of masturbate my self and her also masturbating me but not a full erection, so I penetrated her vagina and I did not have a condom on so I only had 4 or 5 thrusts in and out. So I quickly pulled out and tried to put a condom on, as I wanted to do the right thing by her and my self. I lost the erection while I tried my best to put the condom on.

My second girlfriend, the same thing happened she gave me oral sex it did not work and I did not get an erection at all this time and had another try the next day but I was not successful. I do not understand as I can masturbate and get an erection over pornography or with out it easily enough and ejaculate like any other normal male my age. I do not understand what is happening and am to shy to approach my doctor or parents, as it is a very embarrassing subject.

There is one more thing wrong with my penis and that is my penis has gone brown like as if it were tanned all over I am a white male with a touched tan like an olive skin colour and my penis does stand out among the rest of my body as it is very brown. On some parts of my penis the areas are slightly darker than others as if u could notice where I hold my penis during masturbation almost like a hand print but not really it is hard to explain but the underneath is darker where my palm usual is during masturbation. But my overall penis is fairly brown and noticeable. I do feel that I masturbate too much nearly every day at an average of 6 times a week sometimes I masturbate twice in one day and feel I am addicted to masturbation and think that this could be the result of my penis turning brown and me not being able to get an erection when I try to have sex with a girl. Can you please help me to understand what is wrong with me and give me the correct information I need to help my self from what has or is happening to me. I feel this is urgent and would appreciate it if you could reply back ASAP!!! Thank you for your help and I hope to hear from you soon.

Generally both men and women, masturbation is generally very healthy!

I will give a short answer to your long question. There are always two sides to a coin and keep these things in mind to get an idea if you're wanking too much>

Is it interfering with your life? Are you doing it just because you have nothing to do? Or are you're masturbating so much that you're not getting your work done? Or any of a variety of things like that, then yes, perhaps you are masturbating too much.

Does your body hurt or mind suffer? Is your penis rubbed raw, chafed, burning or bleeding? Are you unable to get it off your mind and unable to concentrate on any thing else? If so, that's also a good clue that you're doing it too much (or perhaps too aggressively).

If it affecting you unduly, the best option is to seek professional help. There is no need to be ashamed - doctors and counselors are trained to advise and treat you properly.
