Thank you for contacting us with your concern! First of all relax. It sounds to me that your foreskin is too tight and you are unable to pull it back. This can be fixed. Go and see your physician and see what his/her recommendations are. You should be able to pull back your foreskin over the head (glans) of your penis without pain. This is important to do daily in order to wash your penis and avoid the accumulation of smegma. Your doctor can evaluate whether you can stretch your forskin by yourself or whether you need to have it removed (circumcision).
Prevention of penile cancer used to be one argument for having boys circumcised. However, penile cancer is not very common.
Your girlfriend is right by saying that size does not matter. If you look through my archive of questions you will find several Q&As where I have addressed this question. Men with small penises often make the best lovers since they often are not so focused on that one part of the body but instead use their whole body (incl. hands, fingers, feet, mouth, etc.) to make love. Many women enjoy foreplay and focus much less on penetration and intercourse than men often do.
So, once again relax and go to see your doctor. Once you are less nervous and tense about the whole situation your erections will very likely come back.
Good luck,
