Hi, I'm not sure what to tell you, because the best (and only, as far as I know) way to get rid of crabs is to do exactly as you have done. Use a lice shampoo, clean your blankets and clothes and everything. The purpose of the fine tooth comb is to remove nits (the crab's eggs) from the hair and to prevent reinfestation. However, if you miss even one or two nits (either in your own hair or in your clothes, blankets, etc) you will end up with more crabs. You might try a different brand of product. Others I have heard of include A-200®, RID®, and InnoGel®. You will also, as you seem to already realize, want to abstain from ALL sexual activity (not just intercourse). You also may want to talk to your previous sexual partners to let them know they may have been exposed (or may have exposed you) to crabs. If you choose to go to the doctor, you probably don't have to worry about him telling your father due to doctor-patient confidentiality. However, if you think your doctor is less than ethical or likely to share that information, perhaps you could find a different doctor or a nearby Planned Parenthood or school clinic or something. However, the doctor will probably just tell you to do what you are already doing, unless your self-diagnosis of crabs was incorrect. I'd say the best advice I can give you is to stick with what you are doing and to try it again. If you simply cannot get rid of them, medical help might be your only choice. Good luck, Blaise
