Question:
Scared of having sex for the first time - been married ofr over 3 years and need help. Been to doctors and therapy whic has been of no real help. I don't know where to turn or who to go to or even why I am so abnormal - I know this is making me more stressed adn less ready for sex each time!

Thank you for writing to sexualhealth.com. It is not clear to me what is scaring you about having sex. Pain? Inflammation? Guilt? Religious feelings? Hostility from or towards partner? What makes you feel so abnormal? If you could share your feelings in some detail I could be of some help to you in sorting them out and in locating a therapist near you.
