Masturbation is not known to cause any medical illnesses or health problems. It has long been recognized as a safe outlet for the sexual energies of those who do not (yet) participate in partner-sex.
Far from causing any problems in the sexual life during married life, masturbation can be used as a tool to enhance your sexual bliss by, for example, letting your wife masturbate for you as a part of the game, or by using masturbation to learn control over ejaculation. I should also clarify that the number of years masturbated, or the number of times masturbated per week/month does not affect your sex life.
So, you may safely continue it, if you wish.Reviewed by Sexual Health Editorial Team
