Question:
how high is the risk factor of getting pregnant from oral sex. i need to know about the implications of oral sex. specifically why it is better than traditional sex.

Answer: by Sandra Welner: (05/18/2004)
The only way to get pregnant is if sperm from your male partner enters your
vagina, travels through your cervix and into your uterus at the same time of
the month that eggs are being released from your ovaries and traveling down
through your tubes into your uterus. If the sperm and the egg are in your
uterus at the same time, you can get pregnant. It is very difficult for eggs
to be released from your ovaries and travel down the tubes into your uterus
and then get up to your mouth. As you can see, this makes it highly unlikely
that you can get pregnant from giving oral sex. Same with receiving oral sex. I hope this eases your concerns.
Oral sex is not better or worse than traditional sexual intercourse. It is just different.
The roof of the mouth and the tongue have very sensitive nerve endings that
respond to touch during sexual stimulation and so do the area around the
upper inner thighs, around the vagina, the clitoris, and sometimes even the
cervix. So, there are a lot of different surfaces that are sensitive to
sexual touch. Neither is better than the other. They are just different.
I hope this information is helpful.
