Ok, I would say no, but I would recommend using the Morning After Pill just in case. The Morning after pill prevents a pregnancy before it begins after an accident happens. It works by not allowing the fertilized egg to implant on the uterine wall and not allowing an egg to pop out of the ovary if that was about to happen.
So, you take these two pills together, within 120 hours after the accident (that's 5 days) and it prevents a pregnancy. Now, if you are already pregnant you will likely remain pregnant and their will probably not be any birth defects to the fetus. So it is NOT an abortion.
The Morning after pill (or called Emergancy Contraception) can be purchased online or at a women's health clinic like Planned Parenthood and is most effective in preventing pregnancy if used within the first 24 hours after the accident. Go online to www.ppct.org to order one online if you don't have a Planned Parenthood near you.
It sounds unlikely that she would become pregnant, but just in case this is what I would recommend. And, you can purchase these ahead of time so if an accident happens you are prepared for it. It's not bad to plan for an accident, it's bad to do nothing about it. Good luck and thanks for writing in!
