Question:
My Boyfriend and I have been together for 7 years, he's 28. when we would have sex his erection would last between 20 to some times 40 min. Now it only last for 3-5 min while engaging in sex. His he past his peak and now plateued?

It is easier to explain ejaculations occuring within 3 to 5 minutes because this is average and, therefore, "normal." It is more unusual that a young man will last 30 to 40 minutes with steady thrusting.
If I had to guess, I would guess that your boyfriend was lasting longer in the beginning because you were having sex more often, and if the frequency dropped, I would expect him to orgasm more rapidly.
