Question:
I am 25 and I never fully developed. I am still the same size (everywhere) as I was when i was 10 years old. Is there anything to re-start the development process? Thanks

Failure to reach puberty and develop what is known as secondary male sex characters could be related to a hormone deficiency. Men affected with such a disorder present with infantile genitals, deficient hair development in the genital and beard areas, deficient muscle development and strength, and a softer voice. The only way that you can know the cause of your complaint is by visiting an Andrologist or Endocrinologist. He/she will perform a complete physical examination and order blood tests that should identify your disorder. If your case is truly hypogonadism, the problem can be treated with hormone replacement therapy to induce puberty including the development of secondary male sex characters. Please do not hesitate to write again if you have any further concerns. Best wishes, Hussein Ghanem MD
