Question:
A woman friend who I found out is a lesbian has CP and is incontinent,yet she says she feels some stimulation and can and does have oral relations with her partner,how is this possible especially being incontinent?I may ask her but don't want to embarress her,would like more advice from a professional,thanks.

Thank you for your question and being sensitive about not embarrassing your friend.

Incontinence is not a barrier to being sexual and having sexual contact with others. First of all, many people do not mind if sex involves a variety of 'natural juices', such as sweat, urine, ejaculate, etc. If someone is incontinent he or she can put down towels or protective sheets. Ways of reducing the amount of urine leakage include limiting intake of liquids and emptying the bladder before sexual activity.

By the way, unless someone has an urinary tract or bladder infection, urine is sterile. In the old days, physicians tasted patient's urine to see whether someone had diabetes. In those cases the urine tasted sweet!
