 Biography: Sallie Foley, MSW, is a nationally known psychotherapist, author,
and lecturer. She teaches at the University of Michigan School of
Social Work, is affiliated with University of Michigan Medical Center’s
Sexual Health Counseling Services, and has a psychotherapy
practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Foley is an AASECT certified sex therapist and is on the medical
advisory board of the Intersex Society of North America. She is
frequently interviewed by the media and cited in numerous
publications for her expertise on sexual dysfunction and its
treatment.
She co-authored the critically acclaimed book Sex Matters For
Women: A Complete Guide to Taking Care of Your Sexual Self
(Guilford, 2002). Her second book, Sex and Love for Grownups: A
No-Nonsense Guide to a Life of Passion (AARP/Sterling) was
released in conjunction with her popular “Modern Love” column on
relationships and sexuality in AARP The Magazine. Foley is a
sought after lecturer for both public audiences and professional
groups.
